I've been ordering Vegin'Out on and off for years now (we had moved out of their local delivery for a while and I really missed their food and convenience). Everything is always fresh and healthy, and I appreciate that they don't over salt or over sweeten their meals. FAQs
- How many meals are in a single order?
There is 9-10 vegan meals worth of food in a single order. A meal consists of 1 serving of an Vegan Entrée, 1 serving each of 2 different vegan side dishes. All our dishes are lunch and dinner food. Most of our clients have some fresh fruit or vegetables along with their Vegin' Out vegan meals and have said that a single order usually lasts at least 6 to 7 days.
- What do I do if I'm not going to be home at the time of delivery?
Our vegan meals come in an insulated cooler bag with ice packs. The cooler bag should keep the food cold between 2 - 4 hours, depending on the outside temperature. If you are unable to be home for the entire day, please have a neighbor or friend to receive the food on your behalf. We can also deliver our vegan meals to your office. All you have to do is to type in the special request box when ordering. If none of the suggestions we mentioned work for you, you have the option of leaving us a cooler outside of your home with additional ice packs.
- How long will my food keep?
Since our meals are vegan, they keep extremely well if they're refrigerated after delivery. Almost all our vegan dishes will keep for up to 7 days. Our vegan meals keep great in the freezer as well if you plan to keep anything for over 7 days. Please feel free to ask us about any particular dish.
- Do you use organic vegetables?
We use the freshest ingredients we can get, and on average we use 75% organic ingredients and produce.
Where do you deliver?
On the coast we deliver north to Pacific Palisades, south to Palos Verdes, east to Pasadena, and The San Fernando Valley. Click Here to see a map of our Los Angeles delivery area. We do ship to all of Southern California including San Diego. Free delivery.
How much does your service cost? (For Los Angeles Delivery)
It is $127.99 for a single vegan meal order, which consists of 8 Dishes (3 vegan Entrée 24 oz dishes, 4 vegan side 16 oz. dishes, 1 soup 32 oz.) and 5 vegan cookies, and $234.99 for a double which is exactly twice as much as a single. You save approximately $21 by ordering for two vegan meals. Call for pricing if you would like more then two orders delivered. Our 4 up-front vegan meal option is also available to help clients save up to $26. Cost for the 4 up-front vegan meal order is $486.
When do I have to place my order by?
We accept orders all the time. For us to guarantee a delivery on Monday you must place your order no later than Friday at 5pm PST.

- What sizes do Prepped By Bec meals come in?
We currently offer two sizes, REGULAR and LARGE. The Regular portion includes about 4oz Protein, 2oz Healthy Carbohydrates, and 1 cup of Veggies. The Large portion includes about 6oz Protein, 3oz Healthy Carbohydrates, and 1 cup of Veggies. All macronutrient information can be viewed online and is printed on individual meal label.
- Where will my meals be prepared?
All meals are prepared and packaged fresh for you at our Health Department Certified Commercial Kitchen in Costa Mesa, California. We carry a current Orange County Health Permit and undergo routine inspections from the OCHCA. Your safety is our TOP priority! Prepped by Bec Inc, 350 Clinton St. Suite A, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
- Where do the food items come from?
We have formed relationships with local food distributors who provide all food items used to produce Prepped by Bec meals. We currently source the majority of our proteins from US Foods and our produce from Penjoyan Produce at Grower’s Ranch in Newport Beach.
- How do I re-heat my meals?
Your meals are fully cooked and can be enjoyed hot or cold. Please remove any plastic sauce containers or packets prior to reheating. To reheat, remove lid, microwave for about 60 – 90 seconds, time may vary. You may also choose to re-heat your meals on the stovetop in a skillet.
- How long will my meals last?
Refrigerated meals will last 5 days. Fish entrees and salads should be enjoyed in the beginning half of the week for top quality and freshness. Don't think you'll get to all of your meals within 5 days? You may choose to freeze anything that you would like to enjoy outside of that 5 day window. If you decide to freeze a meal we find it best to 1) remove the lid 2) cover with plastic wrap 3) replace the lid, before freezing. This will ensure food quality and freshness as intended. Any frozen meal should be consumed within 2 weeks of delivery date. All plastic containers are freezer (and microwave!) safe.
- When will I receive my meals? Do I need to be home? How will I be notified the meals have arrived?
Your meals will be delivered in an insulated cooler bag with an ice pack on Sunday morning(s) between 8am and 12 noon.
You do not need to be home to receive your delivery, your bag will be delivered to your front door. Please be sure to include and gate codes / access codes / special instructions in delivery notes to help the driver locate your front door! You will receive a text message notification that your meals have arrived.
When do I need to place my order by? What if I miss the deadline?
You must place your order by Tuesday at Midnight for Sunday delivery.

- Are the meals fresh?
The meals are all prepared and packaged fresh. All food is prepared the day of and never frozen.
- Can the meals be frozen?
Absolutely, the meals will arrive frozen and can be kept in the freezer after they arrive. We suggest thawing each meal out as needed over night in your fridge. Once thawed they can be microwaved for 90 seconds.
- How are the deliveries packaged?
All orders being delivered will be packaged in a cold to go bag. These bags are rated to hold food at below 40 degrees for up to 3 hours.
- What are the prices?
Meals start at $ 6.25 with some items receiving a upcharge. Bulk Discounts are built into ordering.
- Where do you deliver to?
We delivery to all areas within a 30 mile radius of our 1 Delaware Rd Location.
- Ordering, Delivery arrivals?
All orders placed on Monday by noon will be available for pickup 9am to 7pm at the location you choose. Deliveries will generally leave our Kenmore Store by 9am, and arrive between 9am and 12pm.
- Is there a minimum amount of meals I must order?
No minimum order required for pickup orders. Minimum of 10 meals required for delivery.
- Does the menu change?
Yes we try to change the menu every 4-5 weeks.
- How long do you recommend re-heating the meals?
We recommend 1-2min in the microwave to re-heat each meal if not frozen. Containers are BPA free, and dishwasher friendly. The containers are 100% recyclable.
- Can I substitute sides with my meal?
The meals will come as is as denoted on the menu. We do our best to ensure a wide variety of sides and options. Also please feel free to make suggestions as we are always looking to improve our service.
